Welcome

Welcome to my home on the internet.  This is mostly a place to store my videos and pictures.  The Gallery is a list of photo albums that can be displayed in an album format, or a slideshow format.  The Media Collection has all my photos, videos and slideshows.  This is a vary extensive collection from the various sports that I participate in.  I will be adding more sort methods to make it easier to access in the future.  MY TJ is a history of the progress for my Jeep as it grows up from stock to a true Rockcrawler.  I hope you enjoy my site, and feel free to say hi in the Guestbook or via e-mail

Halifax
We almost made it home.  We left San Francisco at 6:40 this morning, which required us to get up at 4am.  The flight to Toronto was pretty good although there were heavy rain showers in TO.  The flight to Halifax was good but when we landed it was thick fog.  Then after being delayed for 1 hour the flight to Saint John was finally cancelled due to heavy fog.  We are now in the Quality Inn scheduled for a flight tomorrow morning at 8:30.  Let us hope the fog is gone by then.

Alcatraz
We just got back from Alcatraz.  It was a good visit although the bus ride back to the hotel was slow.  Mum and Dad had fun spending the day in China town.  Peter and I spent the day day in a climbing gym.  we will be back there tomorrow.

San Francisco is definately the dirtiest city I have been to in America.  It is dirty, smelly and full of street bums.  It gives you the feeling that it is a desparate city and everyone is just making it.

San Francisco
Our Yosemite trip was successful.  We arrived on the Monday and settled in to Curry Village.  We managed a few climbs on Knob Hill that same day.  The weather for the first week was hot, it was as high as 97 degrees fahrenheit (33 celcius).

We climbed Half Dome via Sanke Dyke on the Wednesday.  This was a 12 hour round trip including 16 miles on hiking, 4500 feet of height gain and 2000 feet of granite climbing.  The route is 5.7, but it has a lot of 80 foot runouts on 5.4 climbing.  Not for the faint hearted.

We just dropped Cory off at the airport.  He is heading back to SJ while we visit San Francisco til Sunday.

Yosemite bound
It is now 7am local time, 11am back home.  Mum and Dad arrived at 9pm last night, not too far off the expected time.  Today we drive to Yosemite.  It is supposed to be about a 4 hour drive.  Hopefully the traffic will not be too bad on a Monday.

Yosemite
We are now in San Francisco enroute to Yosemite.  Peter and I arrived on time at 11am and Cory was supposed to be 1 hour behind.  He just arrived at 8pm.  He was storm bound in Chicago and has been on quite a trip.  Mum and Dad should be here in 30 minutes.  Peter and I went downtown to the REI store and also checked out a climbing gym.  Hopefully Mum and Dad will have a good flight.  Tomorrow morning we drive to the valley.
